Job Summary

Hunter Amenities, a leading manufacturer of Guest Amenities, seeks a skilled Electrical Controls Specialist to join our Production team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining high manufacturing efficiencies while delivering a quality product in a safe and clean environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to manufacturing machinery problems, troubleshoot and diagnose issues, and make repairs as necessary.
  • Build and wire panels, and implement controls for existing equipment and new upgrades.
  • Inspect and examine machinery and electrical equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
  • Service the requirements of the Packaging department, including setup, repair, and preventative maintenance of equipment.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and related repairs on plant equipment, transformers, breaker panels, VFD's control panels, etc.
Requirements
  • Experience with PLC, AB, Omron, Siemens, Studio 0, RS Logix 0, Factory Talk View is an asset.
  • 1-3 years as a certified Electrician with A or A Certificate is preferred.
  • Basic computer, math, and writing skills are required.
  • Experience in high-speed packaging equipment, fillers, cappers, labellers, coders, conveyors, and parts fabrication is an asset.
  • Troubleshooting skills and the ability to work well in a team setting are essential.
