Electrical Controls Specialist

As a key member of the Production team, you will be responsible for maintaining high manufacturing efficiencies while delivering a quality product in a safe and clean environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoot and diagnose manufacturing machinery problems, making repairs and programming changes as necessary
• Build and wire panels, implementing controls for existing equipment and new upgrades
• Inspect and examine machinery and electrical equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions
• Service the Packaging department, including setup, repair, and preventative maintenance of equipment
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and related repairs on plant equipment, transformers, breaker panels, VFD's control panels, etc.
Qualifications:
• Experience with PLC, AB, Omron, Siemens, Studio 0, RS Logix 0, Factory Talk View is an asset
• 1-3 years as a certified Electrician with A or A Certificate is preferred; Ark Flash is an asset
• Basic computer, math, and writing skills
• Experience in high-speed packaging equipment, fillers, cappers, labellers, coders, conveyors, and parts fabrication is an asset; mechanical aptitude is required for minor repairs
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
