About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Maintenance Inventory Coordinator to join our team at Canadian Tire Corporation. As a key member of our Maintenance Stores Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our inventory management processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Manage the MRO inventory through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) inventory and purchasing modules, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Procurement: Procure needed inventory and replacement parts to meet minimum/maximum guidelines, project, and planned work requirements in a cost-effective and quality manner.
  • Supplier Management: Manage inventory supplier contracts to agreed vendor performance levels, including Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), preferred vendors, and blanket orders.
  • Inventory Analysis: Conduct ongoing ABC analysis of MRO inventory and make recommendations for necessary changes.
  • Data Integrity: Maintain CMMS inventory and purchasing data base for accuracy, including pricing, vendor files, and location.
  • Receiving and Processing: Receive incoming shipments and process documentation for receivables, payables, and maintain files for all transactions.
  • Restocking: Restock shelves on a daily basis to ensure inventory is properly stored and organized.
  • Quotations and Ordering: Assist in quotations for work orders, projects, and retrofits, and create new part records and maintain parts identification systems.
  • Inventory Audits: Perform inventory audits (cycle counts) as required to maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain appropriate confidentiality for all business plans and activities.
  • Remote Parts Cribs: Monitor remote parts cribs, including mobile inventory management.
  • Communication: Work constructively and effectively with all internal and external contacts, maintaining dignity and respect at all times.
  • Purchase Orders: Create purchase orders in Maximo and COUPA.
Requirements
  • Education: Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in production inventory management.
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years' experience within production/inventory, with experience in high-paced distribution centers preferred.
  • Skills: Strong organizational skills, computer skills, and working knowledge of CMMS, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Time Management: Excellent time management skills and detail-oriented.
  • Availability: Ability to work Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:00pm.
