Operating Room Registered Practical Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our Operating Room team at Sinai Health. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to develop your surgical skills and work in a state-of-the-art facility.
Key Responsibilities- Perform the duties of the scrub nurse, including preparing and maintaining the operating room environment.
- Contribute to the patient assessment process and implement patients' plans of care.
- Collaborate with other members of the intraprofessional and interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Act as a patient advocate and contribute to the smooth functioning and efficiency of the unit.
- Participate in professional development and continuing education, and engage in self-reflection to facilitate personal and professional growth.
- Current RPN certificate of registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
- Minimum 1-2 years' experience in the Perioperative setting.
- A diploma or equivalent from a CNO-approved practical nursing program.
- Successful completion of RPN Operating Room program.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Experience using an electronic health records system.
