About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Caregiver to join our team at Chartwell Villa Saguenay, a residence for seniors. As a Medical Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve meal trays and feed patients in a safe and dignified manner.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Bathe, dress, and groom patients with care and attention to detail.
  • Answer call signals to determine patients' needs and respond accordingly.
  • Administer first aid in emergency situations, following established protocols.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Certifications: Moving Patients Safety Principles (MPSP) training and CPR Certificate.
  • Security and Safety: Criminal record check.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, repetitive tasks, physically demanding, manual dexterity, attention to detail, ability to distinguish between colors, sound discrimination, standing for extended periods, combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, and walking.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, interpersonal awareness, judgment, organized, and team player.
