Job Title: General Construction Labourer

We are seeking a skilled and physically fit General Construction Labourer to join our team at SOi. As a General Construction Labourer, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks on construction sites, including loading and unloading materials, erecting and dismantling scaffolding, and assisting in the construction of buildings.

Work Environment

As a General Construction Labourer, you will work outdoors in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will be required to work in a variety of weather conditions and may be exposed to dust, noise, and other hazards.

Responsibilities
  • Loading and unloading construction materials
  • Erecting and dismantling scaffolding, ramps, and other construction equipment
  • Assisting in the construction of buildings, including framing, roofing, and finishing work
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and repairing equipment
  • Assisting in the demolition of buildings
  • Removing rubble and debris from construction sites
  • Tending to and feeding construction equipment
  • Directing traffic at construction sites
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience in construction or a related field is an asset
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
  • Ability to lift and move heavy loads
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
