Job Title: General Construction Labourer

We are seeking a skilled and physically fit General Construction Labourer to join our team at SOi. As a General Construction Labourer, you will be responsible for assisting in various construction tasks, including loading and unloading materials, erecting and dismantling scaffolding, and mixing and pouring concrete.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials
  • Erect and dismantle scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
  • Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction
  • Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites
  • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs
  • Assist in demolishing buildings
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials
  • Perform routine maintenance work
  • Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites
Work Environment:

As a General Construction Labourer, you will be working outdoors in a physically demanding environment. You will be required to wear steel-toed safety boots, a hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, gloves, and ear plugs.

Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience an asset
  • Physically demanding
  • Handling heavy loads
  • Attention to detail
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling
Language:

The language of work is English.

Work Hours:

35 to 40 hours per week.
