About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Baker - Pastry Specialist to join our team at Fairy Sweet Bakery. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of sweet and savory pastries, cakes, and breads.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and breads according to recipes and special customer orders.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
  • Requisition and order materials, equipment, and supplies to ensure a smooth operation of the bakery.
  • Operate machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that products are available for customers.
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances by adapting recipes and ingredients.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a bakery or related field.
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and a focus on quality.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
