We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Associate to join our team at the University of British Columbia, Faculty Relations. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for overseeing laboratory technical personnel, medical clinical personnel, graduate students, research scientists, and other professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and Manage Research Teams: Provide guidance and oversight to laboratory technical personnel, medical clinical personnel, graduate students, research scientists, and other professionals to ensure the successful completion of research projects.
- Provide Expert Advice: Offer expert advice to senior managers and officials on research-related matters, ensuring that the highest standards of research excellence are maintained.
- Administrative Tasks: Perform administrative tasks, including preparing reports, producing research papers, educational texts, and articles, and delivering presentations at conferences, workshops, or symposia.
- Research and Development: Monitor and compile research results, and develop new research ideas and projects in collaboration with the research team.
- Mentoring and Training: Offer mentoring and training to junior researchers and students, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in their roles.
- Education: Earned doctorate degree in a relevant field, such as Immunology or Microbiology.
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a research-related role, preferably in a business or industry setting.
- Work Setting: Business and/or industry, with a preference for urban areas.
- Security and Safety: Must undergo a criminal record check and have a valid work permit for Canada.
