Production Baker Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Production Baker to join our team at Blacksmith Bakery - Maple Ridge. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality baked goods in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce a variety of baked goods, including pastries, bread, and desserts
  • Work effectively in a team environment to meet production deadlines
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient production and quality control
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to improve skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Pastry education or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar production role
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for long periods

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Red Seal certification or equivalent
  • Food Safe certification
  • Experience working in a commercial bakery environment
