The goal is to ensure projects are completed safely, economically, efficiently, and punctually, thereby exceeding client expectations. Key Responsibilities:- Managing and coordinating project teams and subcontractors to guarantee the safe, economical, efficient, and timely execution of projects that meet or surpass client expectations.
- Serving as a technical expert for the successful delivery of multiple significant and complex projects.
- Establishing and maintaining effective communication channels with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure seamless workflow and deliver exceptional engineering services.
- Supervising the creation of project budgets, timelines, and reports.
- Tracking progress in engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
- Leading project meetings and ensuring adherence to schedules.
- Evaluating cost control forecasts, including engineering and capital expenditures.
- Collecting current information directly from sites, engaging with clients, and continuously assessing work performance.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
- At least 8 years of experience in engineering or operations, focusing on large-scale industrial projects, with a minimum of 2 years in a project management capacity.
- Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Proficiency in engaging with individuals at all organizational levels.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Completion of a diploma or degree in a recognized project management program is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel for varying durations, including to remote locations.
- Authorization to work legally in Canada without sponsorship from John Wood Group is mandatory.
