About the Role

Andy Transport is seeking a dedicated and experienced Dry Van Dispatcher to join our growing team. In this full-time, permanent position, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods for our valued clients within the dry van division.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for designated customers, understanding their specific needs and coordinating movements to meet those requirements.
  • Negotiate, book, and manage transportation arrangements, dispatching trucks strategically for optimal scheduling and timely deliveries.
  • Collaborate closely with the Operations team to ensure seamless execution of dispatch plans and address any operational challenges that may arise.
  • Provide prompt and satisfactory responses to customer inquiries related to dispatch, resolving issues efficiently and professionally.
  • Maintain a high level of dispatch efficiency, proactively addressing any issues that could impact delivery timelines.
  • Take on various assignments as needed to contribute to the overall success of the team.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Dispatcher in the transportation industry.
  • Familiarity with TMW (Transportation Management System) is an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
