Job Summary

Pamal Trucking is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Logistics: Arrange travel itineraries, make reservations, and oversee the loading and unloading of goods.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, and record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Emergency Response: Perform emergency roadside repairs and perform brake adjustments as needed.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Air Brake (Z) Endorsement and Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Personal Qualities: Flexibility, organized, and reliable, with a strong commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: Previous experience as a long haul truck driver is an asset.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Schedule: 50 hours per week, with a regular schedule and opportunities for overtime.
