Job Title: Microbiology Laboratory Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Microbiology Laboratory Technician to support our team in conducting microbiological tests and maintaining a safe and efficient laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test Preparation: Prepare media, samples, and reagents used in testing, ensuring accuracy and precision.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate equipment used for microbial testing, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Testing and Analysis: Conduct and track microbial efficacy tests against various bacteria, spores, fungi, and mycobacteria using standardized test methods.
  • Documentation: Provide detailed, accurate, and up-to-date records of test results, maintaining and updating relevant documentation.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory of lab materials and stock cultures of microorganisms, preparing new stock cultures and ordering supplies as needed.
  • Quality Control: Participate in quality control initiatives, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Education: College Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in biology, microbiology, biochemistry, or related fields, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in the Microbiology field.
  • Skills: Proficiency in aseptic technique, Good Documentation Practice (GDP), and Microsoft Office applications.
