Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeping Specialist to join our team at Empire Marketing Inc. as a permanent employee. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and performing various accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping
    • Accurately record and reconcile financial transactions
    • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
    • Prepare and analyze financial reports
  • Accounting and Bookkeeping
    • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
    • Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
    • Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Computer and Technology Skills
    • Proficient in data analysis software
    • Skilled in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, and MS Word
  • Security and Safety
    • Must undergo a criminal record check
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
    • Repetitive tasks and attention to detail required
  • Personal Suitability
    • Dependable and efficient interpersonal skills
    • Organized and reliable with a strong work ethic
    • Team player with excellent communication skills
    Requirements
    • College/CEGEP education
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting
    Work Environment
