Job Title: Field Service Technician

Are you a skilled technician looking for a challenging role in the field of power generation? We have an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Technician to join our team in Victoria, BC.

About the Role:

  • Perform emergency service, preventative maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and instruction for customer generators
  • Test, measure, and verify electrical component operations, including energized components and electrical fields.
  • Program, test, connect transfer switches and trouble shoot both generators and synchronizing controls system.
  • Conduct startups and load bank tests as required.
  • Operate / diagnose engine driven gensets powered by diesel or natural gas.
  • Build strong customer relationships by engaging in positive, professional communications.
  • There is an on call requirement for this position

Requirements:

  • Power Generation Diploma, Certified Mechanic or Millwright with electrical skills
  • Mechanical, engine, and electrical trouble shooting skills
  • Valid DL in good standing
  • Experience in a field service role with superior customer service skills
  • Working knowledge of D/C and A/C electrical systems
  • Comfortable using MS Office suite including Outlook suite.
