About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Medicine Specialist to join our team at Forest Lawn Medical Corporation. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with other medical professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consultation and Diagnosis: Conduct thorough consultations with patients to evaluate their physical and mental health, and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Medication Management: Prescribe and administer medications and treatments as necessary, taking into account patients' medical histories and current health status.
  • Patient Education: Provide patients with clear and concise information about their health, including advice on healthy lifestyle choices and disease prevention.
  • Coordination of Care: Work with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless coordination of patient care, including referrals to specialists and other medical services as needed.
  • Advocacy: Act as a patient advocate, ensuring that patients' rights and interests are respected and protected.
Requirements
  • Education: A degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 month to less than 7 months of experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Certifications: College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP), Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC), and licensure by provincial or territorial authorities are required.
