About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Operations Manager to join our team at Tim Hortons. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, maintaining high standards of quality and service, and leading a team of kitchen staff to achieve exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including preparation and portioning of food, to ensure efficient and effective service.
    • Train and develop kitchen staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain high standards of quality and service.
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Operations and Logistics
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation and ensure that inventory levels are maintained.
    • Prepare and submit reports on kitchen operations, including sales, stock, and wastage.
    • Supervise and check delivery of food trolleys and ensure that food is stored and handled safely.
  • Customer Service
    • Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Ensure that customer feedback is acted upon and that customer satisfaction is maintained.
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Work collaboratively with other departments, including front-of-house staff and management, to ensure seamless service and high standards of quality.
    • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, management, and other departments to ensure that information is shared and that goals are achieved.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen management role.
  • Work Environment
    • Noisy work environment.
    • Exposure to odours.
  • Work Setting
    • Various locations, including coffee shops, fast food outlets, and restaurants.
