About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Finisher to join our team at AMPOWER ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS. As a Drywall Finisher, you will be responsible for applying, leveling, and smoothing coats of plaster to ensure a smooth finish on our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Apply and smooth coats of plaster to achieve a high-quality finish
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for plastering
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets
  • Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coats to dry
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
Work Environment

As a Drywall Finisher, you will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and physically demanding tasks. You must be able to work under pressure and meet the demands of the job.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall finishing
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks
