About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Cobs Bread. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service: Assist in the preparation and presentation of food and beverages, including operating dishwashers, washing and polishing dishes, and serving customers at counters or buffet tables.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, to maintain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Supply Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas, ensuring that all necessary items are readily available for use.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless service and maintain a positive and productive team environment.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn new skills is essential.
  • Physical Demands: This role requires standing for extended periods, working in a fast-paced environment, and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, reliability, and a team player attitude are essential for success in this role.
