Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials across the country. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials across the country.
  • Load and unload goods at designated locations.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Operate and maintain the vehicle's equipment, including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage.
  • Communicate with central dispatch and other stakeholders to receive and relay information.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements:
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Experience with trans-border documentation and trip reports.
  • Knowledge of inspection reports and communication systems.
  • Ability to work overtime and sit for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with international, long-haul, and provincial/territorial transportation.
  • Knowledge of green jobs and environmental sustainability.
