Job Summary:

The Manufacturing Process Optimization Specialist will play a key role in driving process improvements and efficiency gains across assembly lines. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new work processes, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and cost efficiency
  • Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Operations teams to drive process excellence
  • Lead the development and implementation of new work processes, ensuring alignment with company standards
  • Monitor and analyze process performance, identifying areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement corrective actions to address process issues
  • Work closely with production and technical support resources to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Meet plant goals and standards in safety, quality, delivery, and cost
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of new technologies to improve quality and efficiency
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Technology/Engineering or relevant combination of education and experience
  • Experience in hands-on automated assembly operations
  • Excellent PC-based computer skills
  • Knowledge of CNC, PLC programming, robots (FANUC and ABB) preferred
  • Working experience with automotive assembly operations, preferably with powertrain applications and including high-precision components, inline gauging, leak testing, vision systems, and auxiliary processes
  • Demonstrate excellent analytical ability, communication, and interpersonal skills to build relationships with team members and customers
  • Ability to multitask and handle diverse assignments concurrently
  • Process improvement tools such as Lean/Six Sigma
  • Understanding of automotive systems and quality requirements based on ISO/IATF 16949 operating systems
  • Ability to interact and lead effectively at all levels of the organization
