Job Title: Youth Worker

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Youth Worker to join our team at Shkoday Abinojiiwak Obimiwedoon. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support and guidance to youth in our community, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and implement life skills workshops to promote youth development and empowerment.
  • Assess and address the needs of youth, providing individualized support and guidance.
  • Collaborate with community partners to develop and deliver programs that promote youth engagement and participation.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to youth in need.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with youth, families, and community stakeholders to promote a culture of respect and inclusivity.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. social work, education, youth work).
  • 2 years of experience working with youth in a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
