Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Procedure Preparation
    • Prepare patients for dental examinations, procedures, and treatments.
    • Prepare dental instruments, materials, and equipment for procedures.
  • Clinical Support
    • Assist dentists and hygienists with procedures, such as polishing teeth, applying fluoride, and taking X-rays.
    • Record dental procedures, treatments, and patient information.
  • Administrative Support
    • Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
    • Manage patient records, charts, and files.
  • Instrument Maintenance
    • Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
    • Ensure a clean and organized work environment.
  • Communication
    • Educate patients on oral hygiene, dental procedures, and treatment options.
    • Communicate effectively with patients, dentists, and other team members.
Requirements
  • Education
    • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a dental setting.
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
