Employment and Labour Law Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Employment and Labour Law Paralegal to join our team at Commissionaires Canada. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in providing expert legal support and guidance on employment and labour law matters.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct research and provide analysis on employment and labour law issues, including labour disputes, terminations, discrimination, health and safety, and workers' compensation.
- Assist with the preparation of legal briefs, documents, and correspondence, as well as interview employees or witnesses and collect information from third parties as required.
- Support the development and implementation of organizational policies and procedures related to employment and labour law.
- Monitor provincial employment law developments and provide recommendations for updates to organizational policies and procedures.
- Prepare non-financial regulatory compliance filings and conduct data analysis to support management and business needs.
- Post-secondary degree, diploma, or certificate in a relevant area of study, and a designation such as CHRP or a relevant legal designation (lawyer or paralegal).
- Minimum three years of experience in HR compliance/case management, employment and labour law, and recent labour/employment law experience.
- Knowledge of industry trends, developments, and employment-related laws in Ontario and Quebec.
- Knowledge of basic statistical math and the ability to create mathematical formulas within Microsoft Excel or other systems to support data analysis.
- Must have or be able to obtain a Secret level Clearance.
- Bilingual mandatory.
- Some travel required.
