Job Summary:
This role involves providing critical support to clients in need of withdrawal management and early recovery services. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, assessing their needs, providing life skills development groups, and collaborating with other professionals in the addiction and mental health program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offering supportive counselling and crisis intervention to clients
- Providing motivational interviewing and referral services
- Providing individual support to clients with barriers to treatment
- Conducting groups for life skills development and relapse prevention
- Liaising with emergency services and pharmacies for client needs
- Completing required data entry
- Complying with mental health and addiction standards
- Participating in clinical meetings and workgroups
Requirements:
Successful candidates must pass a Criminal Investigation Reference check. Accommodations will be provided during the recruitment process. Proof of full vaccination for COVID-19 is required for all new team members.
