Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance & Repair Worker to join our team at STOKES Janitorial & Maintenance. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, minor repairs, and building upkeep to ensure the smooth operation of our properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform regular checks and maintenance on equipment and systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Basic Repairs: Conduct minor repairs and maintenance tasks throughout our condo and apartment buildings, including plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems.
  • Contractor Oversight: Coordinate with external contractors to ensure that professional repairs are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Problem-Solving: Diagnose mechanical issues and contact the appropriate trade to have them corrected.
  • Minor Fixes: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as replacing light bulbs, fixing leaky faucets, and performing other minor repairs.
  • System Checks: Verify the functionality and maintenance of safety systems, including control panels and emergency equipment.
  • Reporting: Document and report any maintenance issues or concerns to our facility managers.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in maintenance and repair areas.
  • Knowledge: Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and building automation systems.
  • Skills: Ability to read technical manuals, use hand and power tools, and communicate effectively with colleagues and contractors.
  • Physical Demands: Physical stamina and dexterity required to perform tasks that involve lifting, bending, and working at heights.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Vehicle: Must have a reliable vehicle for transportation to and from job sites.
