Health Care Support Worker via HCAP Program

The Health Care Support Worker will provide non-direct and non-clinical healthcare support to clients, residents, families, and visitors in long-term care, assisted living, and home settings. This role will align with established care plans and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities- Provide support to clients, residents, families, and visitors in a respectful and compassionate manner.
- Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Participate in the development and implementation of care plans.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care.
- Maintain accurate records and reports.
- Completion of Grade 10, including the successful completion of English 10, or equivalency.
- For candidates whose first language is not English, successful completion of an English Language Proficiency Test is required.
- No prior completion of an HCA training program in BC.
- Canadian citizenship or permanent residency.
- The ability to work full-time for 3–6 months as a trainee and attend college full-time for 6 months in a Health Care Assistant Program.

Compensation and BenefitsYour total compensation includes a wage of $24.80 outlined by Fraser Health's HCAP program. Eligible for extended health and dental following six months employment until end of HCAP schooling. You will be welcomed into a warm and supportive work environment.
