Position Overview

The role of a Retail Merchandising Specialist involves enhancing the shopping experience for consumers by implementing effective merchandising strategies within designated retail locations. Key responsibilities include fostering relationships with store management, executing merchandising resets, constructing retail displays, and overseeing the presentation of impulse items in specific supermarket areas. This position also entails ensuring the accurate application of plan-o-grams, placement of new products, void corrections, and stock rotation. The ideal candidate is proactive, quick to adapt, detail-oriented, and thrives in independent work environments. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for building effective partnerships.

  • Uphold store presentation standards through the construction of displays, installation of fixtures, maintenance of shelves, and inventory management.
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities for additional display space to meet sales objectives.

Key Duties

As a Retail Merchandising Specialist, you will:

  • Build and maintain relationships with in-store management.
  • Manage the merchandising of impulse items and participate in merchandising resets and display construction.
  • Implement plan-o-grams, new product placements, void corrections, and stock rotation.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Cover multiple retail locations on a designated route.
  • Assist in monitoring customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with supervisors on significant initiatives, including new product launches.
  • Ensure full distribution and display of products in assigned accounts.
  • Adhere to safe work practices to maintain a secure work environment.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Complete special projects and other tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • 1 to 2 years of prior experience in merchandising, grocery, or retail sales preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods.
  • Reliable transportation is essential.
  • Proficient in using computers and mobile devices for company-related tasks.
  • Must be able to read, speak, and understand English.

Work is primarily conducted during weekday mornings and early afternoons, with no evening or weekend shifts required.
