Position Overview:

A9, Inc. is seeking a Construction Project Coordinator to enhance our dynamic team. Reporting to the Construction Manager, this role is pivotal in steering, overseeing, and executing project supply and installation, ensuring the effective deployment of a skilled team focused on engineering design, graphic generation, programming, commissioning, and client education.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Engage in pre-bid assessments and transition meetings to verify the precision of sales estimates and project layouts.
  2. Examine plans, construction specifications, and regulations to ascertain project necessities.
  3. Collaborate with management to ensure clarity and satisfaction regarding project scope.
  4. Develop comprehensive project plans prior to project initiation, ensuring efficient execution by the project team.
  5. Track progress to ensure adherence to the established execution strategy.
  6. Prepare or supervise the creation of engineering re-estimate reports, utilizing financial forecasting to manage and control expenses.
  7. Oversee the preparation of progress billings, ensuring timely payments from clients and authorizing payments to suppliers and subcontractors.
  8. Solicit bids and select dependable subcontractors for installation and specialized services.
  9. Demonstrate a solid understanding of HVAC / Mechanical / Electrical systems to accurately assess existing components and recommend suitable technical solutions.
  10. Participate in final job site inspections and manage the completion of all project close-out documentation.
  11. Attend scheduled Operations Team meetings to discuss business practices, financial updates, and safety protocols.
  12. Administer project team requirements under the Occupational Health and Safety Safety Program.
  13. Enhance project performance by developing and executing project work plans, actively engaging in on-site activities.
  14. Oversee subcontractor workflows to ensure compliance with company standards.
  15. Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients involved in the decision-making process.
Qualifications:
  1. PMP certification is advantageous.
  2. Prior experience in Project Management within HVAC / Mechanical / Electrical sectors is preferred.
  3. Exceptional interpersonal, communication, presentation, technical, and financial skills.
  4. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  5. Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
  6. Ability to manage multiple projects and clients in a complex environment.
  7. Experience collaborating with consultants and contractors on integrated projects.
  8. Familiarity with Federal and Provincial building codes, ASHRAE, CSA, and NFPA standards.
  9. Exhibit a strong sense of urgency and prioritize tasks effectively.
