About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior BAS Service Technician to join our team at Ainsworth. As a key member of our Ottawa BAS team, you will work closely with our project team and report directly to the BAS Service Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality BAS solutions to our customer base within the Construction/Operation Department.
  • Assist with site commissioning, point-to-point verifications, troubleshooting, and startups of BAS, HVAC equipment, and lighting controls systems and their peripheral devices under the supervision of experienced BAS team members.
  • Contribute to project and service group documentation.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of Ainsworth's Safe Work and H&S Policies.
  • Stay up-to-date with HVAC and DDC fundamentals, as well as Schneider Electric BAS product portfolio.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless system integration and networking.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in a BAS service technician role.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to be insured by Ainsworth.
  • Pass security screening as required by Ainsworth's Government clients and/or be bondable.
  • Fluent in English, both written and oral. Fluency in French is a definite asset.
  • Ability to read and understand construction plans and specs, as well as product documentation.
  • Graduate of a Post-Secondary technical or engineering program.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Visio or scripted programming language.
  • Ability to perform medium physical duties, including standing for long periods, climbing ladders, and working from heights with fall arrest protection.
  • Some travel may be required, with reimbursement for expenses including mileage.
