Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Network Analyst to join our technology team at BC Ferries. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and supporting all aspects of our complex and diverse infrastructure, including wired and wireless data networks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support all aspects of our network infrastructure, including routing and switching, security, wireless, and voice.
  • Provide technical expertise and problem-solving in areas of performance management, network administration, bandwidth utilization, and capacity planning.
  • Develop and implement solutions to ensure the stability of our wireless data network through spread spectrum radio (802.11x), cellular, and satellite.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure the security and integrity of our network infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement network security technologies, including intrusion prevention/detection, VPN, firewalls, and NG-FWS.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Computer Systems or an IT-related discipline.
  • Cisco, CCNA, or CCNP certifications would be an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to consistently achieve a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement solutions and effect organizational change in an energetic, fast-paced environment.
