About the Technical Director Position

The Technical Director at Verndale is a seasoned expert, leader, and manager responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of all accounts and projects assigned to the delivery team. This role requires a deep understanding of the foundations and architectures of the web, as well as experience in content and technical architecture design.

The Technical Director will work closely with the delivery team leadership, project teams, and other technical directors to ensure the successful execution of projects. This includes collaboration with clients, architects, and developers to design and develop digital experiences that meet the needs of marketing and technology leaders.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of web application security best practices, search engine friendly markup, and site search techniques. Experience with Azure DevOps technologies and knowledge of React, VueJS, and TypeScript are also highly desirable.

Responsibilities
  • Project Management
    • Oversee the technical aspects of all accounts and projects assigned to the delivery team
    • Collaborate with clients, architects, and developers to design and develop digital experiences
    • Ensure the successful execution of projects
  • Technical Leadership
    • Provide technical guidance and support to the delivery team
    • Develop and maintain technical standards and best practices
    • Collaborate with other technical directors to ensure consistency and quality across projects
  • Client Management
    • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and requirements
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients
    • Ensure client satisfaction and deliver high-quality results
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in CMS experience and back-end development
  • 3+ years in a technical leadership role
  • Strong understanding of the foundations and architectures of the web
  • Experience in content and technical architecture design
  • Experience developing B2B and/or B2C websites
  • Understanding of eCommerce/eBusiness Concepts
  • 6+ Enterprise solution experiences
  • Experience in System Integrations
  • Understanding of commerce-related marketing and analytics practices
  • Knowledge of React, VueJS, and TypeScript
  • Experience with Azure DevOps technologies
