Full-time day shift replacement role Full-time evening shift role 12-hour shifts Mission and Purpose of Service:The surgical continuum, including operating rooms and post-anesthesia care units, is dedicated to providing safe, high-quality treatment for both inpatient and outpatient clients undergoing surgical procedures. Each sector is meticulously organized to deliver safe, efficient, and quality care and monitoring. Our skilled surgeons and experienced healthcare professionals collaborate to ensure seamless and continuous follow-up throughout the surgical journey. The day surgery sector is responsible for the admission, care, and both preoperative and postoperative management of clients, whether they are outpatient or hospitalized. The post-anesthesia care unit focuses on the immediate care of clients following surgery, ensuring thorough monitoring, treatment administration, and postoperative assessment.
Overview of Services and Care Provided:
The surgical continuum unites a team of professionals (nurses, respiratory therapists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, physicians, and surgeons) who work collaboratively across disciplines.
The services and care provided cater to hospitalized patients undergoing surgical interventions in the following areas:
General Surgery ENT (both pediatric and adult) Gynecology Orthopedics Urology Plastic Surgery Maxillofacial Surgery Ophthalmology Qualifications:Nurse
Diploma of College Studies in Nursing (DEC) Valid practice permit recognized by the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec (OIIQ) Clinical Nurse Bachelor of Nursing (BAC) OR a bachelor's degree with three eligible certificates, including at least two recognized in nursing (BAC through certificate accumulation) Valid practice permit recognized by the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec (OIIQ)IMPORTANT NOTES:
Any foreign qualifications must have undergone a Comparative Evaluation of Studies completed outside of Quebec by the Department of Immigration, Francization, and Integration. Please include the evaluation results in your CV; otherwise, your application may not be considered. (Note that, according to Canadian immigration law, to be eligible, you must possess a valid work permit, be a landed immigrant, permanent resident, or Canadian citizen.)
