Job Title: Environmental Services Aide/Cleaner

Job Summary:

The University Health Network is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Services Aide/Cleaner to join our team. As an Environmental Services Aide/Cleaner, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Remove recyclables and garbage/waste from multiple locations
  • Clean and maintain patient rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, offices, etc.
  • Perform floor care, moving furniture and other items as required
  • Clean, disinfect, and maintain Operating Rooms according to standards
  • Clean and maintain elevators and stairs
  • Perform other duties in support of the Housekeeping function

Requirements:

  • At minimum completion of high school or recognized equivalent
  • 3 months to less than 6 months practical and related experience and/or 3 months to less than 6 months on-the-job training
  • Ability to use tools and equipment common to the work being performed
  • Knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) and Occupational Health & Safety Act
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
