Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to perform general housekeeping activities within the established guidelines for health and safety, infection control, and quality management. As a Cleaner - Environmental Services, you will work independently and as part of a team to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general housekeeping activities, including dusting, sweeping, and mopping floors, and collecting garbage and recyclables.
  • Operate cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, auto scrubbers, and carpet extractors, safely and efficiently.
  • Restock supplies and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Assist with special projects, such as deep cleaning and event preparation.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, staff, and residents to ensure a positive and respectful work environment.

Requirements

  • Grade XII diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous cleaning experience, preferably with microfiber systems.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow written instructions in English.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong customer service skills.
