Job Summary
Menzies Aviation is seeking a skilled and physically fit Ramp Agent to join our team. As a Ramp Agent, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient loading and unloading of aircraft, as well as providing exceptional customer service to our airline partners.
Main Responsibilities
- Load and unload aircraft with cargo and baggage, ensuring accurate and timely handling of all items.
- Operate motorized equipment, including belt loaders, tow tractors, and baggage tractors, to facilitate efficient aircraft handling.
- Perform aircraft marshalling and wing walking to ensure safe aircraft movement.
- Ensure compliance with company and airline procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other airport staff to ensure seamless airport operations.
- Participate in mandatory training programs to maintain and enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to pass and maintain the DA AVOP (both written & practical).
- Must be able to push, pull, and lift up to 70lbs when required.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write in English proficiently.
- Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Must be able to meet and maintain the security level required for this position.
- Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays if required.
Working Conditions
The work is primarily outdoors, and you must be comfortable working in all weather conditions. You will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
