About the Role

CIBC is seeking a highly skilled and passionate individual to join our Indigenous Recruitment team as a Talent Acquisition Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in sourcing and attracting top Indigenous talent to support our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract and engage Indigenous candidates
  • Build and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities, organizations, and leaders to promote CIBC's Indigenous recruitment initiatives
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand business needs and develop tailored recruitment plans
  • Source and assess high-quality Indigenous candidates through various channels, including social media, job boards, and professional networks
  • Provide exceptional candidate experience through regular communication and timely feedback

Requirements
  • Must identify as First Nations, Metis, or Inuit
  • Must have a strong understanding of Indigenous cultures and communities
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must have a proven track record of successful recruitment and talent acquisition
  • Must have a strong understanding of employment equity and diversity principles
