About the Role

GARY SANDHU DEVELOPMENT LTD. is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Execution
    • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
    • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Construction and Installation
    • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
    • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
    • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Supervision and Maintenance
    • Supervise other workers on site
    • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the field
  • Work Environment and Physical Capabilities
    • Ability to work outdoors and in various locations
    • Combination of sitting, standing, walking, and physically demanding tasks
  • Personal Suitability
    • Judgement and reliability
