About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Horizon Drywall Ltd. as a Construction Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of drywall installation and finishing work on our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Construction
    • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
    • Prepare layouts and measurements to ensure accurate installation
  • Installation
    • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
    • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
    • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Post-Construction
    • Maintain and repair residences and wooden structures in various establishments
    • Supervise and train other workers as needed
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall installation and finishing
