Vancouver Aboriginal Friendship Centre Society is seeking a skilled Intake Worker to join our team. As an Intake Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the needs of our community members.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate the Effectiveness of Social Programs
- Assess the impact of social programs on our community members
- Identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for enhancement
- Client Assessment and Referral
- Conduct individual, family, or group interviews to assess client needs and situations
- Develop and implement referral plans to connect clients with relevant services
- Training and Development
- Provide training and support to other workers on social program evaluation and client assessment
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge
- Community Program Development
- Collaborate with community members and stakeholders to develop and implement new programs and services
- Conduct needs assessments and research to inform program development
- Education
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Work Setting
- Various locations, including Aboriginal band councils, rehabilitation centers, and non-profit organizations

- Experience
- 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field
