Intake Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Intake Worker to join our team at the Vancouver Aboriginal Friendship Centre Society. As an Intake Worker, you will play a critical role in assessing the needs of our clients and connecting them with the appropriate services.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate the effectiveness of social programs and services to ensure they meet the needs of our clients.
- Conduct individual, family, or group interviews to assess client situations and problems, and determine the types of services required.
- Train or assist in the training of other workers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality services.
- Perform front desk duties, including answering phones and responding to client inquiries.
- Engage in community program development to identify new opportunities for service delivery and partnerships.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
- Various locations, including Aboriginal band councils, rehabilitation centers, and employee assistance programs.
- Client focus and dependability.
- Efficient interpersonal skills and excellent oral communication.
