MCI is a leading manufacturer of motor coaches, and we are seeking a skilled Welding Associate to join our team. As a Welding Associate, you will work with various types of metal and use a variety of welding techniques to fabricate coach components and frames.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for welding various types of metals using MIG, TIG, and STICK welding techniques and strict quality guidelines.
  • Grind and solder coach components.
  • Responsible for following all work instructions and interpreting welding specifications, blueprints, and/or drawings.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Canadian Welding Bureau certification (CWB ticket) is an asset.
  • Read and understand work instructions.
  • Interpret blueprints or drawings.
  • Previous manufacturing experience is considered an asset.
  • Experience working with solvents and pretreatment chemicals is an asset.
  • Post-secondary training with experience operating air plasma and oxy-acetylene equipment is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of shop floor safety.
  • Experience with aluminum welding is an asset.
  • Need to pass MCI Weld Test.
