Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Outpatient Neuro Rehab program at William Osler Health System. As an OT in this role, you will provide quality occupational therapy services to clients with neurological conditions, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Assessment and Treatment: Conduct thorough assessments of clients' occupational performance and develop personalized treatment plans to address their needs.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with physiotherapists, speech-language pathologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Supervision and Education: Supervise occupational therapy assistants, volunteers, and students, and provide education to clients and families on occupational therapy techniques and strategies.
  • Program Development and Quality Improvement: Participate in program meetings and quality initiatives to enhance the delivery of occupational therapy services and promote best practices.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: Master's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy, or equivalent, and registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
  • Experience and Skills: A minimum of five years' experience providing evidence-based occupational therapy assessment and treatment to a neurological population, with strong skills in psychosocial, cognitive, perceptual, and physical health-related assessment and intervention.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage high caseload volumes.
