Senior Commercial Operations Manager

In this pivotal role, reporting directly to the Director of Commercial Proposals and Contract Management, the Senior Commercial Operations Manager will oversee the coordination of mining equipment transactions for our Mining Producers and Strategic clientele, necessitating the approval of Finning Canada’s Board of Directors. This includes conducting financial due diligence, ensuring compliance with the large deal process, and maximizing the profitability of each mining equipment transaction in collaboration with the relevant product manager.
As a key member of the mining sales and marketing team, you will be instrumental in achieving the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for mining equipment. Exceptional project management and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this position.You will lead the daily operations of your direct reports, focusing on coaching, mentoring, strategic planning, and performance management, including recruitment and onboarding processes.
Foster a performance-driven culture that emphasizes continuous improvement and alignment with corporate objectives.You will be responsible for reviewing each transaction for consistency and accuracy, while also generating and distributing sales reports to mining leadership.
Participate in the development, review, and presentation of Stage-Gate presentations to the Executive team.
Identify and document financial, operational, and execution risks associated with proposals.
Ensure governance and compliance within the BluePrint process for opportunities.
A minimum of 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in the mining sector is preferred.
~ A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing or a related field is required.
~ Comprehensive knowledge of mining equipment products and their applications is essential.
~ Proficiency in interpreting and explaining financial reports and legal agreements is necessary.
~ Strong skills in data analysis and visualization are expected.
~ Ability to prioritize and manage responsibilities effectively is crucial.
