About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Manager to join our Sea Logistics team at Kuehne+Nagel. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end operational activities on a local level, with a focus on improving customer service standards and optimizing the customer experience.

Your Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of 4 in the Sea Freight Perishables Department, overseeing Import & Export operations, including hiring, training, and development.
  • Actively promote and improve employee retention, market, and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify potential customers and monitor market activity, responding to pricing fluctuations.
  • Develop new business opportunities to increase overall market share and revenue growth for Sea Freight Perishables.
  • Develop an understanding of customers' businesses and create value propositions.
  • Communicate proactively with customers, respond to their needs, ensure commitments are met, address concerns, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Manage the Sea Freight Perishable financial performance and P&L, maximizing gross profit, ensuring a satisfactory conversion ratio, and achieving set targets.
  • Identify cost savings, improve processes, implement efficiency gains, and measure and report on key indicators.
  • Adhere to and comply with all health & safety, quality, security, environmental, legal, and regulatory requirements.
Your Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in International Business, Finance, Transportation, or Logistics.
  • 3+ years of experience in the Freight Forwarding, Supply Chain, or Logistics industry.
  • 3+ years of experience in the Sea Logistics business unit.
  • Strong Leadership and Organizational skills.
