Job Summary

Canus Logistics Inc. is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation Management: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Logistics Coordination: Arrange travel, related itineraries, and make reservations to optimize route efficiency and minimize delays.
  • Cargo Handling: Load and unload goods, ensuring proper securing and tarping to prevent damage or loss during transit.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, as well as oversee all aspects of vehicle condition, including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes, and ensure accurate record-keeping of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns, and provide exceptional service to maintain a positive reputation for Canus Logistics Inc.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: AZ class license, valid driver's license, and a strong attention to detail.
  • Work Environment: Physically demanding work, with a large workload and overtime required. Must be able to handle heavy loads and repetitive tasks.
  • Work Schedule: 40 to 60 hours per week, with a permanent work term.
