Executive Director Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned arts professional to lead our team as Executive Director. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic organization and contribute to the growth and development of our performing arts centre.

About the Role

The Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing the overall strategy and direction of the centre, ensuring its financial sustainability, and driving artistic and cultural programming. This includes managing a team of staff, developing and implementing marketing and fundraising strategies, and building relationships with local arts organizations, community groups, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve the centre's mission and goals
  • Manage the centre's finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Lead the development and implementation of marketing and fundraising strategies
  • Build and maintain relationships with local arts organizations, community groups, and stakeholders
  • Oversee the management of the centre's staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management
  • Ensure the centre's facilities and equipment are maintained to a high standard
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in arts management, preferably in a leadership role
  • Strong financial management and budgeting skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Experience in marketing and fundraising, preferably in the arts sector
  • Strong leadership and management skills
