Job Summary:

The Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service establishment, ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards, and supervising and coordinating the activities of staff who prepare and portion food.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure efficient food preparation and service.
  • Supervise and train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and ensure they have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their tasks.
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Prepare and submit reports on food service operations and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns and maintain a positive and professional attitude in all interactions.
  • Supervise and check delivery of food trolleys and ensure that food is prepared and presented to a high standard.
  • Establish work schedules and ensure that staff are aware of their duties and responsibilities.
Requirements:
  • 3-4 years of experience in a food service establishment, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, customers, and management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly and efficiently.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, with some post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
