About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team at ALTIUS PHYSIOTHERAPY & WELLNESS LTD. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will play a vital role in supporting our physiotherapists and occupational therapists in delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Treatment
    • Administer evaluative tests to assess patients' physical abilities and identify areas for improvement.
    • Assist physiotherapists and occupational therapists in developing and implementing treatment programs to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities.
  • Support Services
    • Provide administrative support to the rehabilitation team, including processing files and paperwork.
    • Assist with cleaning and maintaining equipment to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Communicate effectively with patients, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
    • Work collaboratively with the rehabilitation team to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Computer and Technology Skills
    • Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software applications.
  • Work Environment
    • Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on patient-centered care.
    • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., physiotherapy, occupational therapy, or a related health science).
  • Experience
    • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field (e.g., physiotherapy, occupational therapy, or a related health science).
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
